My world 7

France

France is my homeland, I was born in a hospital near Paris, the first day of November 2004. I lived 12 years in the Paris region and French is the language I speak every day with my family at home.

In 2016, my family decided to move to Spain and I had to leave France. For me France will always be my country even if I have been in Spain for four years and my parents and grandparents do not want to leave for the moment.

Of course, my parents and grandparents live in Spain but as soon as the opportunity arises, we take a plane or train ticket, or even by car and we go to visit our French family. It's very complicated to see everyone in a weekend or a week, especially since my family is in the four corners of France. That's why I often spend six months without seeing certain members of my family and when we meet again, it's always more exciting.

What I like above all in France is to wander in the middle of summer in the small tourist streets of Paris and discover small merchants, often there are crêperies and bars. From time to time, in the summer, my sisters and I bring friends to introduce them to our French family and to show them around Paris and the city we grew up in.

My World 6

My dog, Loulou

My little family and I have adopted a little sand-colored Labrador for eleven years now. The year 2008 was marked by the arrival in our house of a small white dog. This little animal was very desired for a few years by my parents, but for certain reasons, the adoption could not be done. It is, therefore, a year after the birth of my little sister Maëlle that we decided to adopt our dog Loulou.

This little human being immediately adapted to our family, our home and his new environment. My two sisters and I grew up with this dog, we have thousands of funny and affectionate memories with this little furball.

During these eleven years, we have moved three times, and of course, Loulou has followed us these three times. Today, Loulou is eleven years old, in a month, that is to say in May, he will be twelve years old. This dog is getting older and older, from the height of these 12 years, he is no longer as dynamic, crazy, and playful as when he was adopted.

Loulou is a very wise animal, he adores children and hates water. He loves the sun, bones, and ropes for playing, he doesn't like scrambling balls and toys at all. In winter and on festive days, it's very complicated to manage it because he hates fireworks, firecrackers, lightning, thunder, thunderstorm, and lightning above all.

Loulou is the only animal for whom I have so much affection, I know that at any time he can disappear because twelve years for a dog is the equivalent of 84 years for a human and that is why I, my sisters and my parents will continue to give him as much love as possible so that he will feel at home and love until the end of his days.

International Women's Rights Day

Last March 8, International Women's Rights Day, a very symbolic and important day for me. In today's society, we have to campaign and stand up for our rights. As a teenager, I find this period very interesting to learn more about this subject which is feminism.

My older sister, Inès, is very involved in this cause, it is often her who informs me and insists that I get involved even more in this beautiful cause. On Saturday, March 7, she offered to accompany me to the march for women's rights the next day which takes place in Figueres. I directly accepted because it is for me a very nice opportunity to spend time with my sister and to accompany her for something that is very important for her.

On Sunday morning, the two of us carefully prepared two double-sided signs with catchy phrases (see photos below). Later in the afternoon, we took a bus from our town (Castelló d'Empúries) to Figueres. Arriving at our destination, we joined Inès' best friend, Emma. The three of us walked from the bus station to the Rambla de Figueres, where the march started.

19:30, the march begins to move forward, the atmosphere is very happy and all the women and men around us are very friendly. I am very surprised by the number of young people who demonstrate but it makes me very happy.

1:30 later, we arrive in a small square, everyone gathers and it's time to sing together. Very warm moment, we were then offered to eat and drink with everyone but unfortunately, we had to take our bus to go home.

I really enjoyed this experience, I marched for the first time for a cause that I'm attached to and I could feel solidarity and help between humans.

Iconic Picture

In class, we are working with a new project, it's the project of an iconic picture. The two last days, everybody does a presentation of an iconic picture and we have to explain different things about the picture, the photograph and what is happening in the picture. Personally, I do a presentation about Albert Einstein's iconic picture. Just here you have the photo and if you click on the title you can see my presentation.

My world 4

(If you click on the title, you can hear my favourite song on Youtube)

My favourite song is "Someone like you" by the singer Adele. This song feels very nostalgic and it remembers me a lot of memories with my parents and my sisters when we were young. I remember when my two sisters and I started to sing this song out loud in our living room, my mother always puts different songs on the TV and when this song started, we jump all over the place because we knew the lyrics by heart. I wish, one day, my mother put this song once again and my sister and I sang this beautiful song together.

Apart from these magical memories, I love this song because when I was a teenager, I understood the lyrics and I started to search for more information about the song and the singer, Adele. I realized that Adele has had some difficult times in her life, such as family and health problems, but she has always been able to find solutions and today she is happier than ever with her dream career, an adorable family and fans who are always here for her. So that why I love this song and why I admire the singer, Adele. I hope you will hear this song with a lot of affection as it is the one I cherish most in this world.

Ted Talk

Summary:
It is a history of a woman that has grown all her life in a very poor family but she did appreciate all the small things that her mother gave her. and one day she found a penny and kept it for luck and then she found a dollar and other stuff that isn't money but she found it glorious. In the speech, she explains the situation and the meetings.

My Opinion:
Firstly she felt so proud of their house etc. But then they had to leave their country and they started everything from the beginning. However, she didn't lose her optimism. This is the most importing thing. Although we haven't got a lot of money, we can feel like a millionaire. The biggest wealth is being happy.
sometimes little things make me happy and we notice that although we have not a lot, we are happy with the things we have and also things we do not have. Like the speaker, a penny can make us feel like a millionaire.so we should be thankful and optimistic about every situation.
